Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia
Porto is the second largest city in Portugal and the one that gave the country its name. The North Region, also known as undefeated, has about 1.7 million inhabitants, of which 100,000 are higher education students.
It is bathed by the Douro River and the Atlantic Ocean and known for being, welcoming and authentic. The stunning landscapes and the narrow streets and unforgettable features of the city, the cultural and artistic diversity and its rich and varied gastronomy, differentiate the City from all others. For this reason, Porto was elected the Best City Break Destination in Europe in 2020, and the best European destination in 2017 for the third time in a row.
